Quenin was founded in 1865 in Lyon, then the capital of the silk industry. The company experienced its first heyday during the Belle Époque. To this day, Quenin's innovative mastery of the art of weaving makes it an important partner for haute couture and the exclusive furniture industry.

Quenin wallpapers are used in historical and modern interiors.

In 1973, the Parisian design house Lelièvre bought the Quenin manufactory. Both are united by a typically French style, a sense of beauty and a passion for materials and colour. In 2023, Lelièvre's creative studio updated Quenin's classic repertoire. The fabrics and wallpapers were updated, some of the motifs enlarged and implemented in contemporary colour schemes. This ensures expressiveness and dynamism.
