It is obtained from the heart of the Musa textilis banana plant in Ecuador or the Philippines and is popular in haute couture fashion and interior design. It enables the creation of rich, sophisticated colours and light transparency. As the fibre is obtained using an environmentally friendly process in which the plant is roasted, the yarn is 100% plant-based. All the steps involved in making the wallpaper are carried out by hand.
