The wallpaper manufacturer Cole & Son was founded in 1873 in North London. In the 50s and 60s of the last century, Cole & Son worked together with numerous contemporary artists. This resulted in wallpaper classics such as the vintage wallpaper Woods or the shabby chic wallpaper Hick's Hexagon.
Other well-known wallpapers by Cole & Son are the works by Piero Fornasetti and the wallpapers that were developed in collaboration with Ardmore Design. Over the years, countless classic, quintessentially English wallpaper designs have been created and wallpapered in many famous buildings, including Buckingham Palace and the White House. Cole & Son is still based in the British capital today and continues to produce the wallpapers using classic printing methods.
