Besides its world-famous colours, the English manufacturer Farrow & Ball produces wallpapers.
The original Farrow & Ball colours are used in the complex manual wallpaper printing process, so that the wallpapers can be optimally combined with the colours of Farrow & Ball.
The wallpaper motifs are partly taken from old French and English archives.
For example, the pattern of the wallpaper Bumble Bee was found on a silk fabric in the bedroom of Josephine Bonaparte and the motif of the wallpaper St Antoine was taken from a French damask wallpaper of the 18th century.
For the new wallpaper designs, symbolism and images of historical Japan were used as a source of inspiration this time.
